Description
It is never too late to develop your communication skills and by doing so it will help you to get your message across clearly and effectively. Communication skills are ranked first among a job candidate's ‘must have' skills and qualities. (NACE 2010) The ability to communicate clearly and effectively is a vital life skill and can help all aspects of your life, from job hunting to your social life.
During the workshop you will learn verbal communication – including effective telephone techniques, non-verbal communication – body language, gestures and tone of voice, how to effectively communicate on-line, listening skills, how to build rapport and barriers to effective communication. The course is suitable for people wanting to refresh their employability skills and increase their confidence in preparation for returning to the workplace or take a change in direction.
